SF Mandolin Orchestra returns to PCA Nov. 3

The San Francisco Mandolin Orchestra will perform a concert at the Piedmont Center for the Arts on Saturday, November 3 at 4:00 p.m.

With the theme, “The Grand Tour,” the audience will be taken on a musical journey through the heart of Europe. The performance will feature pieces from a variety of European capitals:

•  Violin Concerto in A minor by J.S. Bach, featuring music director Achille Bocus as mandolin soloist

•  Mandolin Concerto in C Major by Antonio Vivaldi, featuring concertmaster Corey Johnson

•  Excerpts from Joaquin Rodrigo’s guitar concerto Fantasia Para un Gentilhombre, featuring soloist Nicholas Martin 

•  March from the opera Fidelio by Ludwig van Beethoven

•  Sinfonia in G Major by Giovanni Battista Sammartini

Admission is $20 general, $15 student/senior, and free for children 12 and under.  Tickets may be purchased at the door, or at the SFMO ticketing site:
