Dann Zinn Quartet: The Art of the Saxophone

Jazz in the Neighborhood will present the acclaimed Dann Zinn Quartet at the Piedmont Center for the Arts on Thursday evening, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. 

The Quartet features Dann Zinn on saxophone, Glen Pearson on piano, Jeff Chambers on bass, and Leon Joyce, Jr. on drums. This eclectic group will play work newly written for this concert as well as original compositions from Zinn’s critically acclaimed recordings. 

Renowned for his passion, fire, and the haunting melodies that create a pure and accessible sound, Zinn’s music has given him the reputation of being  “a game changer” who is taking jazz to new directions. The virtuosity of the playing and the creative output from this band makes them one of the Bay Area’s best.

$20 advance and $25 at the door. $5 student rush.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 on the day of the concert and $5 student rush.

Jazz in the Neighborhood comes to the community of Piedmont with a series great jazz performers at the Piedmont Center for the Arts. Concerts will be Thursday evenings from 7:30-9 pm.
