Fresh on the heels of Yale’s New Blue concert at the Piedmont Center for the Arts in early January comes an all-male group from Princeton, On Monday, January 29 at 7:30 p.n., the Princeton Footnotes will perform a concert at the Center as part of their West Coast tour.
The Princeton Footnotes are a funky-fresh, all-male a cappella group founded in 1959, singing a wide range of tunes from classical to jazz and pop. In recent years they have gained a reputation as one of the best college a cappella groups, participating in NBC's "The Sing Off" and opening for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular in New York in 2014.
The group includes Piedmont High alum Jake Levin, now a senior at Princeton majoring in Computer Science. He has sung with the Footnotes for four years, including tours to Germany, Italy and Japan, and Italy.
The Troubadours, Piedmont High School’s a cappella vocal ensemble, will perform a short selection of songs prior to the Footnotes.
