Native to South Korea, renowned artist Mok-Won Sup-Soo Lim has devoted the last 35 years to practicing the style of traditional Asian brushwork on "Han-ji", Korean rice paper.
Her works span from simple brush stroke florals to more complex scenic depictions of her homeland. Within her paintings, Ms. Sub-Su conveys a deep, poetic sentiment, full of noble grace.
She entered the world of art late, at the age of 40 and became a master of Korean brush stroke. Mok-Won Sup-Soo Lim has taught her techniques in her private studio as well as several top universities in Korea as well as periodically hosting shows and teaching special classes at the MIAD in Milwaukee.
Mok-Won Sup-Soo Lim has served as Executive Director of the Jeola Arts Council and the Jeonju City Art Association. Additionally She founded the Yunji Group, whose members consist of professional women painters, and whose annual members' exhibitions have been held in Korea, China, Taiwan and Japan.
