Recent Landscapes and Still Life Paintings

Saturdays & Sundays, December 3 thru Dec. 11

Noon to 3p.M.

My paintings are done in the Yosemite high country, in gardens in & around my home, & in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I love the interplay of light & shadow as they shape a picture.

Over the years Yosemite and especially the high camps - Tuolumne, Sunrise, May Lake as well as Tenaya Lake and a few 'hidden' spots - have challenged and delighted me as I seek to paint and take in the beauty there. More recently my work has also focused on the landscape around my home - my back garden and the homes and gardens of neighbors in the Rockridge district. Hydrangea plants, with their lively flowers and their big shapely leaves especially have interested me.

I hope you will enjoy seeing the 30 paintings which have emerged.

The exhibit will be open to the public: Saturdays and Sundays, December 3&4 and December 10 & 11 from noon to 3pm each of those days.
