Acting Class at Piedmont Center for the Arts

If you’ve ever dreamed of being on stage now is your chance to live that dream! The Piedmont Center for the Arts is sponsoring an acting class this summer.

British Actor/Director Michael French has used his 20 years of theatre experience to create a class to free the beginning actor of self-consciousness. Utilizing theatre games and tips used by professionals, this is the place to discover the fun, joy and deep satisfaction of creative expression! This series of seven classes will culminate with a filmed Showcase performed before a live audience.

Mr. French, a recent Piedmont resident, studied acting at The Drama School in England and The Acting Studio in New York City. He has directed over 50 plays in England, Paris and America, and was most recently a Founding Member of the influential theatre company Theatre13 in Colorado. Prior to that he was the Founder and Artistic Director of the Glasshouse Theatre company in London.  He is currently the Artistic Director of The Aluminous Collective in San Francisco.
